How to obtain Malsing unlock code?

Once again, thanks for MalSingMaps for release the new version of maps.



When i wanna get the unlock code for the MalsingMaps i have no idea how to do it and how do i contribute and to make sure there is no duplication of location after my submission for the code. Let me explain this clearly for you how to do it. Because lot of my fren always refer this to me of this issue.



There are 2 type of maps that MalSingMaps provide for Garmin, which is Free and Unlock.

Free maps meaning it's not so updated and it might laps for at least 6 months.

Unlock maps need user to contribute 2 POI, Routes, Error Report in order to gain a code to unlock the map.



Note:

Before you start, i ensure you already have the Garmin Mobile XT and the Basemap install on you device.

POI = Point Of Interest

It means the Point of the corordinate for the location.

Few thing for you to download b4 start to contribute.

Step 1

1. Garmin MapSource, this is the PC tools for you to see the Unlock Map, You will need to use this tool to see which location has less contribution and places which you would like to contribute is already in place or not. (48.45MB)

2. Unlock Map for MapSource from MalSingMaps.



Once finish download, install mapsource 1st then only install the Unlock Map. Remember, the Unlock map doesnt work with your garmin device. it's only use for Garmin Mapsource.



Step 2

Provide 2 contribution of POI is the easiest way, you can look for 2 location. Use your device to save the location. Before you save the location pls also ensure you view that area by using MapSource that the location has not been posted in the lastest version of unlock map.



Export the location from your device to you PC and you will be able to import it to mapsource, either you cache screen and copy the POI (E.g. N1 28.956 E103 45.883)
It's done.

Step 3
After the contribution, wat you need to do is to inform the administrator that you have posted the 2 location and request for the unlock code.

Post your subjust as your Garmin Unit ID.
And Content pls include the links of your post, you will be receive reply by administrator in 2 days time.
